Our Band is 70 years old! 24 December 11 - 05:07

On December 19th in the Maly theatre in Moscow the Central Navy Band had a concert devoted to its 70-th anniversary.

The Band received birthday greetings from world famous opera soloist Elena Obraztsova, Bolshoi Theatre soloist Grigory Schkarupa, Victor Nizovoy, the Moscow Band of Bag-pipers and others.

On May 9th the Central Navy Band participated in the military parade on the Red Square in Moscow, a traditional place where thousands of troops, hundreds of units of military hardware, top-ranking officials and veterans gather to honor the Victory Day.

This year's Moscow parade was the largest-scale in Russian modern history, with a march of about 20,000 troops.

TV program "On the way to success" 27 February 11 - 02:39

On February 20th and 21st a program about the Central Navy Band and its chief conductor Alexei Karabanov was broadcasted by the 5th TV channel. Author and presenter of the program Alina Kabaeva asks various questions about the military music in Russia, how to become a military conductor, plans of the Central Navy Band for the future and many others.
