The N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Central Exemplary Navy Concert Band of Russia welcomes you to our website.

The "Central Navy Band", as we are known less formally in English, is an official musical symbol of the Russian Fleet, a worthy addition to its pride and glory thanks to our dedicated professionalism, our naval charm and our devotion to naval traditions. We deeply honor and respect the legacy and memory of Nikolay Andreevich Rimsky-Korsakov, who served in the Russian Fleet as we do. The first inspector of navy bands in Russia conferred on the Central Navy Band the honorific appellation of the composer's name for our outstanding achievements and in celebration of the 150th anniversary of his birth.

The full Ensemble of the Central Navy Band consists of several sections:
   · Symphony Band
   · Vocal Group
   · Singer Soloists
   · Instrumental Soloists
   · Russian Folk Group
   · Brass Ensemble

These musical sections can perform together in one ensemble or separately. We aim to satisfy any musical taste, and meet or even exceed the expectations of the most demanding audiences in Russia and abroad.

The Band's repertoire is based on Russian and world classical music, and contemporary music, and also our unique naval heritage - an invaluable collection of Russian and Soviet sea songs.
